Metro East Community Chorale

***May 20th (Saturday) 2017 - "Art On The Square" in Belleville. We will be singing again this year from 2:15 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the #1 Art Show in the nation. We will be performing in the tent that is on the grounds of the St. Clair County Courthouse Building, on the right side as you face the building, on the same level as the small fountains. So many fun things to see, hear and taste, with special entertainment for the children. We'd love to see you there!***

Welcome to our home on the web! The Metro East Community Chorale was founded in 1992. It is a federally-registered non-profit organization principally dedicated to bringing a high-quality vocal music program to the St. Louis/Southwestern Illinois area. We are supported by free-will offerings, membership dues, concert program ads, and grants from the Illinois Arts Council.

The Chorale is open to all persons seeking expression and expansion through choral music. No audition is necessary; however, some past experience in choral groups is helpful. We currently enjoy having about 50 members from many of the surrounding communities and churches.

The concert season consists of two formal appearances: Spring and Christmas. We also perform every spring at Art On The Square in Belleville. Additional appearances are scheduled as time permits. The Chorale performs a varied repertoire, from classical, spiritual, sacred and folk songs to contemporary, light jazz, patriotic, show tunes and Christmas songs.
